Joyce Lewis, MAEd, CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, C.P.M.

President

Joyce Lewis has more than 22 years of experience in various aspects of the high technology industry, and more than 15 years of experience in the art and science of education. Her leadership experience spans the global business value chain from strategy development, new product introduction, marketing, and operations, and all aspects of Supply Chain Management. With extensive supply chain management experience in optoelectronics, semiconductor, healthcare, process manufacturing, and various other industries, Joyce combines knowledge of learning processes/pedagogy with real-world operations management experience to maximize the learning process for supply chain professionals.

Joyce currently privately consults with various Fortune 50-250 corporations in all aspects of Supply Chain Management and Operations Management, specifically in the areas of ERP system implementations, business process improvements, sales & operations planning, and all demand/supply-related activities. She recently managed Fixed Assets for the Higley Unified School District, in addition to providing Instructional Technology support and training at local Valley educational institutions. Prior to this, Joyce was responsible for implementing worldwide SAP Production & Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM) systems and training for Innovex, Inc., in her role as SAP Business Analyst.

Joyce currently serves as President of the APICS Los Angeles Chapter Board of Directors as well as a Chapter Certification Review Course Instructor. She is designated as an APICS Master CPIM Instructor, APICS Master CSCP Instructor, APICS Master Instructor Training Instructor, Associate Global Sourcing Instructor, Associate Lean Enterprise Instructor, and Associate Principles Instructor. She currently holds APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP and ISM Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) certifications and is a certified instructor for The Fresh Connection. She represents APICS Los Angeles Chapter at educational institution events such as Arizona State University (ASU), Thunderbird School of Global Management, and University of Southern California (USC). She frequently provides students with guidance on career paths related to resource management, and was recently a Board of Director member for Higley Education Foundation.

Joyce has a Bachelor's of Science, Magna Cum Laude in Purchasing and Logistics from Arizona State University, and received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award for both the Supply Chain Management Department and for the College of Business (now W.P. Carey School of Business), 1998. She also holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, 2004. Joyce was nominated by students and selected for inclusion in the “Who’s Who Among American Teachers, 2007”. Based on evaluations and attendee feedback, Joyce was selected as the APICS Phoenix Chapter "Instructor of the Year" for 2011-2012, 2010-2011, and 2007-2008 board years, and APICS Los Angeles "Instructor of the Year" for 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.
