President's Message

A year ago APICS changed its tag line from The Society for Resources Management to The Operations Management Society to reflect the reality of today’s business world where the training and skills imparted by APICS apply to all kinds of industries and not just to manufacturing. We at LAPICS (the Los Angeles Chapter of APICS) will work to enhance and expand our offerings to meet the requirements of the existing and emerging realities in our workplaces.

We will strive to offer Professional Development Meetings, Seminars and other training services to develop our member’s skills in all the facets of operations management that are essential to surviving and thriving in today’s economy.

We will team up with other professional societies in areas of mutual interest and promote enhanced networking opportunities and exposure to a wider group of professionals.

Finally, we highly value the input of our members and well-wishers and will look forward to hearing from them.
