Syed is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified and a graduate student at USC Marshall School of Business with a concentration in Supply Chain Analytics. He is also working at the Center for Global Supply Chain Management at USC Marshall as a project coordinator.
Before coming to USC, He worked in a Retail Industry as a consultant for four years. His areas of expertise include logistics & transportation, process improvement, negotiations, operational execution, industry benchmarking, inventory control & purchasing.
For BTC Marketing & Distribution, he worked with cross functional teams of sales and marketing to compile data to perform market and industry trend analysis. He also implemented and improved the replenishment cycle time from 3 weeks to 1 week within one year which then reduced inventory stock out by 45%. These are just few examples of his many accomplishments.
Syed’s main objective as Student Chapter Director is to recruit students from local universities and guide them a way to become a great supply chain professional through the resources of being an active APICS member.
