Richard Malone has more than 25 years of experience as a leader and mentor with various small and multi-national manufacturing companies (materials & operations) from a fortune 150 to privately held firms as the lead supply chain professional. Experienced in global strategic sourcing, commodity management (direct & indirect) and end to end logistics. His experience in utility (power & gas), consumer electronics & hardware, printing, medical device, automotive, and defense industries provide the depth of knowledge required to advise and mentor teams across the supply chain spectrum.
Rich earned his APICS certification as a Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) in 2010. He is pursuing his life time award as a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) from ISM and is a member of the Counsel of Supply Chain Management Professionals. Rich has taught all of the CPIM courses review material except SMR and has mentored CSCP candidates. He has completed the Train the Trainer and Learning Dynamics for Instructors in 2012.

Rich has implemented ERP enterprise business systems for SAP, Oracle, Sytline, and QAD (mfg-pro). As a master logistician and supply chain professional for the U.S. Navy he’s lead logistics globally for over 35 years and in multiple wars.

He is a certified instructor / trainer (NEC 9502) and Command Master Chief (NEC 9580).

He currently teaches production/supply chain topics at the junior college level. 
He attended Chapman University’s BS/BA program with an emphasis in economics and management.

He enjoys his supply chain career and is passionate about how supply chain is an enabler to operational excellence.
