The Fresh Connection - Understanding Your Bottom Line Impact through Supply Chain Simulation

PROGRAM OVERVIEW: 
A high-performing supply chain requires engagement, commitment and collaboration among all departments. All too often, however, poor communication, lack of trust, and simple misunderstandings of basic supply chain decision interdependencies can keep a company from reaching its customer service goals and economic potential.

In this interactive "voting session" using The Fresh Connection, a supply chain simulation software program, participants will try to save a virtual process manufacturer from financial ruin. The company is a fruit juice producer in a negative ROI position as a result of its history of poor strategy, alignment, and execution.

As the new management team, attendees will make supply chain decisions to return the company to profitability and experience the significant business benefits of alignment, cross-functional management and effective teamwork. 

Attendees will leave with a better understanding of supply chain interdependencies and how simple, real-world supply chain decisions can maximize bottom line impact. Join us for this audience participation interactive simulation to gain a clearer insight to the dynamics of a total value chain. 

SPEAKER INFO: 
Stephan Britz has more than 22 years of experience in finance and supply chain, 17 of which with multi-national organizations and more than 5 years as consultant in supply chain and enterprise development. He managed teams in finance, operations, logistics, distribution, warehousing, materials planning, production planning and inventory planning. He was both member and leader on projects involving ERP evaluations, ERP implementations, change management, strategy development, business process planning and new product development. 

Stephan has experience in several industries including, beer, beverage, print media, direct response marketing, transport, 3PL, 4PL and retail. He has extensive hands-on management experience in companies ranging in size from multi-national to small business enterprises and a passion for supply chain projects, logistics, distribution, transport and Sales & Operations Planning.

During his time at an international media company Stephan was the project leader and member on a number of business management process projects for new divisions and subsidiaries where he played an integral role in the establishing of the new business units and their business process integration.

During his more than 12 years with one of the top 5 beverage groups in the world, Stephan managed operational and strategic supply chain planning teams leading to 21% productivity improvement in primary distribution asset utilization, reduced inventory levels to record low levels while maintaining customer service and established a world-class logistics function used as benchmark for international primary distribution operations.

Stephan has a Bachelor’s of Commerce in Accounting, an APICS CSCP certification and is a certified instructor for The Fresh Connection and The Cool Connection. He is an APICS Associate CSCP Instructor, Associate Principles Instructor, Associate Lean Instructor and Associate Global Sourcing Instructor.

Stephan is a member of the following professional bodies:
- Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce
- Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce – Gold Members Alliance Program
- South African Institute of Tax Practitioners

Stephan is the founder of several small business enterprises in the field of finance and supply chain. He most recently relocated from South Africa to America and established a Supply Chain training and consulting business.
