This one-day Introduction to Sales and Operations Planning will explain the principles of S&OP at a foundational level and is the optimal training for preparing your demand or planning team for Sales and Operations Planning. This is the ideal development opportunity for team members at various levels in an organization, from VPs to demand or supply planners. Course attendees will experience the importance of cross-functional collaboration and come to appreciate the challenges of Sales and Operations Planning in their organization.

This S&OP One Day Workshop is provided by The S&OP Institute and is not an APICS Certification or Workshop Program.

  • Fundamentals of Sales and Operations Planning – S&OP planning inputs and outputs, understanding different S&OP grids, five step S&OP process, benefits of S&OP, aggregate planning with S&OP.
  • The introduction to S&OP will provide an opportunity for practical exercises.

Classes provide a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas with peers.  Classes are offered periodically throughout the year (see schedule above) or can be offered at a private setting by submitting an interest form here.

Individual and Company course fees include course instruction by a qualified ASCM instructor participating in the ASCM Instructor Development Program: 
  • Workshop Participant Guide
  • Admittance to one (1) designated Chapter Professional Development Meeting (PDM), provided the attendee pre-registers for the PDM before the early registration deadline. Course Attendees must register separately for each event and select the payment option “Current Course Attendee - $0.00” option.   Does not apply to plant tours.
Company course fees apply per attendee for companies sending three or more attendees.  Registration and payment for a participant may be transferred to other company employees without cancellation penalty.

Cancellation requests are submitted online and are subject to the following fees:
  • Before the early registration deadline: $35.00 processing fee
  • Before the First Day of Workshop: $100.00 processing fee
  • No refunds are issued on the day of workshop.  Attendee substitutions are accepted up to the First Day of workshop for Company course fees.
